Frequently Asked Questions

I’m considering getting an astrological reading. How does it work if I decide to do so?

Thank you for asking.

  • You can email me at the email address listed on the home page. Describe a bit about questions or curiosities you’d like to understand.
  • Let me know how much time or payment you’re wanting to spend.
  • Then we book the appointment. You can enter the birth data I will need based upon this information, at that time.
  • I offer tips for getting the most from this experience at the end of this segment
  • As our reading appointment begins, I will request a portion of the fee to be deposited in the Pay Pal account. Sometimes readings take longer or shorter than anticipated, based upon the request of the person receiving the information. Therefore the remainder of the fee will be handled at the end of the reading.

What birth data do you need?

  • Location of birth, (The town or city is sufficient)
  • Date of birth
  • Time of birth * if you have it
  • If you happen to know any particular information about a circumstance that happened during your birth, and feel comfortable sharing it, please do so.

*Having myself witnessed well over 500 births over the course of several decades, I can tell you that birth times are often not precise, and, the time of birth. Prior to the routine use of electronic fetal monitors at delivery in the U.S. at least, was not based on a global, standardized agreement. It was based upon the person present, determining that time (was it when the first breath was taken?, or when the neonate left the mothers body? Or when the umbilical cord was initially cut? Or in the absence of these possibilities, what was determined to be that time of birth?) Thus, there is quite a bit of “wiggle room” to be understood about this piece of information. The chart offers us more with a birth time, but still has much to offer even without a birth time. Worry not.

What sets your interpretations apart from other websites that offer free charts and horoscopes?

First of all, these options can be fun and interesting. Each person has an expectation (fully informed or not) of what they can derive from this information. Any person looking for insight will have their own preferences about how they want it delivered and what they seek to address. There is something for everyone. If you haven’t yet found what feels useful to you, keep looking.

I’ve long ago adopted a different approach to the standard old school, authoritative approach to explaining astrological concepts. The concepts are reflective of our inner selves (or, “inner universe”) and are not representative of a “belief system”.

A number of people influenced the changes I began to make interpretively, including, but not limited to,  Dane Rudhyar, Micheal R. Meyer, Alan Oken, Marshall Rosenburg, Demetra George, Martha Lang Wescott, and several others.

Symbolism has influenced human thought for eons. Astrology contains symbols which, to the person who is studying them, will represent certain ideas, cycles and continuities. Each and every interpreter will have their own perception of the meaning of these symbols.  Each will choose whether to move beyond the already established, but somewhat stagnant representations that are quite prevalent still in the databases and literature. No need to limit ourselves, as more information, and discoveries occur almost daily. In keeping up, humans continue to create new meaning and symbolism to add to and enhance our perceptions.

Combining 50 years of astrological study with life experience,  assists me with helping  people who seek greater  understanding and value within their lives. If a problem calls for solution, I offer mostly suggestions, for there are usually many more options to address a concern than we realize. You will then be making your choices or create new ones that you’ve become inspired to try on your own, as a result.

Each reading I offer is based upon the unique chart of the person or people I am addressing at the time.
I don’t use templates filled with over-simplified and authoritative predictions that may disregard the wisdom and preferences of the person seeking this information. I listen to the information and feelings a person has in their inquiry. This immediately tunes me in to the relevant symbolism of the chart we are looking at. I am then able to reflect not only validation or clarification, but insights for greater personal development and what can be transformed into something personally valuable to this person if that is a stated goal.

I use an approach of Non-Violent Communication (Marshall Rosenburg) to explain examples of  strategies for managing an issue or helping oneself or communicating with another. This approach avoids concepts such as guilt, shame, blame, and other judgments that really don’t help us. We are in a new century, and it is a time of finding new ways of seeing ourselves and our world. That is, If we seek this, and feel ready to explore it.

I don’t offer “lucky day dates” because I have found that the concept of a “lucky day” can be misleading, and takes away the power of the individual to make their own shift of  attitude, or recognize their own life wisdom which exists in all of us, whether we know of it, or not. The approach I use can make each day, - potentially – “lucky” due to choices in our views and behaviors.

If you haven’t tried the free horoscopes or chart readings, perhaps give them a try. And if you aren’t feeling a greater understanding of your body, your inner mind, your life, and the value that each offers, even when experiences are mixed or difficult, then you might try hearing what I have to offer.

I want to understand an important relationship in my life. The other person wants nothing to do with astrology. How do I go about doing that?

Knowing the value and insight that astrology offers, I feel very strongly about protecting a private person’s birth data. However, a look at a relationship chart can offer much understanding and perhaps some ideas for how to enhance the relationship, or accomplish a change of some kind. Therefore, if a birth date and birth place of the “other” are known, I will conduct a relationship reading. However, I will not reveal information from the birth chart of “the other”, as a matter of respect for their privacy in that regard.

I’d like to get a reading of my child’s chart. Can you explain how you do that?

Much like the charts of adults, (read above), I will read a birth chart to parents of a child they gave birth to, or who are legal guardians for, as long as the child is under the age of 11. By age 11 or so, children begin to guard their privacy, and are also potentially beginning puberty. Therefore, at that age, I will ask for the consent of the child if they are 11 or over.  (That said, a work around, is that sometimes insights for the parents can be had by pursuing a relationship chart between the two, which I am happy to do).

I’d like to know more about when to launch my business and also a good date to get married. Can you help?

Yes. Here are the areas where I will still offer impartial information, as to “when” to do these things, but the value I can give is in looking at those dates and options, explaining where the challenges (which we need for learning in life) and the positives are. Then the person who is inquiring gets to choose which types of scenarios they feel best suited for, or are able to handle. These are contrasts found in most charts, because the celestial bodies we are looking at are a part of our universe and there is always a balancing occurring. A swinging back and forth, and cycling to and fro, which is the nature of our existence. It is how we develop and thrive and survive, by managing conflict, identifying positives and negatives personally, and strengthening  our lifetime “Sea Legs.”
